Vessel for The Champion

Rafael Nadal chooses Monte Carlo Yachts 76 as his personal yacht Based in Monfalcone, near Trieste on Italy’s east coast, Italian luxury yacht builder Monte Carlo Yachts, represented in most of Asia by Simpson Marine, is the builder of choice for the dream yacht of  Rafael Nadal. He is a world-class tennis superstar holding numerous records in the most renowned tennis tournaments around the globe. The tennis champion crowned his childhood yachting dream by purchasing Monte Carlo Yachts’ iconic classic, the MCY 76. The Yacht Company delivered the boat in Spring 2016, allowing the tennis player to get the most out of his brand new vessel along the best beaches and bays the Mediterranean has to offer, all in comfort and in style. Originally from the Balearics, Nadal spends most of his time around the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza or Cabrera where he enjoys various island environments from the wider and more secluded mountain areas to more open beaches and lively coastlines. Known as the “King of Clay”, Nadal has achieved a record 10 titles at three different tournaments: French Open, Monte Carlo and Barcelona. He holds the record for most titles at 3 different levels, ATP500 (Barcelona: 10), Masters 1000 (Monte Carlo: 10), and Grand Slams (Roland Garros: 10). Rafael Nadal was first introduced to his future yacht at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2015, selecting it over hundreds of other yachts on display at the event. Like the tennis champion himself, the MCY 76 is an award winner, having won seven prestigious awards in the yachting world, making it the most widely recognized yacht in its category. The naval design and features that the MCY 76 introduced to the world have become defining traits of Monte Carlo Yachts, such as the timeless and refined style, the iconic profile and the high flared bow, the original, innovative details and the incredibly large spaces and features usually reserved for much larger yachts. The possibility to customise the yacht in regards to the best fabrics and various layouts is what distinguishes Monte Carlo Yachtsfrom the other market offerings. Nadal selected deep Mediterranean blue as the hull colour, matching to perfection his immediate nautical surroundings. The successful history of this unique model and the Italian brand is based on solid know-how and a strong strategic vision based mainly on two main drivers: design and product innovation combined with a revolutionary patented manufacturing process.
